There is too much time and energy spent on the plants to ignore the problem next year. Only wish I'd known about this problem before hand. When it takes a year before you can rectify the problem it feels like a big problem. I have a large compost area plus a large weed compost area so no need to burn. I can afford to wait for it to break down rather than burn.Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15081292016016946981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1646947682530302849.post-60747324784479861972016-07-10T17:37:55.957+01:002016-07-10T17:37:55.957+01:00This is a horrible thing to happen when you take s...This is a horrible thing to happen when you take such care with everything you do. I hope you can ameliorate the damage and hopefully get to the bottom of the problem.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1646947682530302849.post-26369580494105990172016-07-08T22:41:08.818+01:002016-07-08T22:41:08.818+01:00Terrible news. You expect that the sellers of compost and manure either control or test what goes in, but I guess all you need is one supplier who doesn't declare what they've been spraying with and that's it. Really making sure would be too expensive.chrisdbhttp://chrisdb.duckdns.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1646947682530302849.post-51107824259834201652016-07-08T10:35:20.920+01:002016-07-08T10:35:20.920+01:00Hi Andy; Sorry to hear that you have also been hit...Hi Andy; Sorry to hear that you have also been hit by this problem, which is more widespread than many people acknowledge. Although I did use some "Composted Stable Manure" I came to the conclusion that the herbicide in my garden came from lawn weedkiller in commercial multi-purpose compost. It's very hard to say which one though, because I always used to buy whatever was on the Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1646947682530302849.post-67558552570441003072016-07-08T06:44:35.068+01:002016-07-08T06:44:35.068+01:00Thanks Matt. It seems there’s more of this around than you'd expect. I've no doubt you'll bounce back, though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
